Daikon is a winter radish. They are very similar; crisp and slightly peppery to taste. Both great in pickles and lend themselves to Asian cuisine. Daikon are "usually" long and pointed. Kaleidescope Winter Radishes are not long and pointy but more sphere like with a bold dash of red when cut open. They are very cool!
Equally delicious roasted (not many people think to roast radishes) or thinly sliced into a salad...but they are bigger than salad radishes like Breakfast radishes.
