PLEASE NOTE:-
ChariTea and LemonAid have been supporting Fairtrade since the very first bottle they ever made in 2010 and continue doing so unequivocally. Being also an EU Organic certified producer, they are committed to using only 100% organic certified ingredients.
As of October 2018 there are no tasty organic and Fairtrade certified limes available globally that they could use to make their freshly squeezed limeade. Despite their efforts in recent years to convince more organic lime farmers in Mexico to join the Fairtrade system.
In the meanwhile, ChariTea and LemonAid have decided to put the Fairtrade premium they would normally pay per ton of limes into a separate fund to support the local communities even in the absence of an official Fairtrade standard on the farm they source from.
