Honey biscuits

Introduction

Honey biscuits - only 30 minutes from start to end. These couldn’t be easier or tastier! We are using our local Cambridge honey and high welfare organic eggs from Haresield Farm in Wiltshire. Both available to add to your veg box.

Makes around 25 to 30 biscuits:

 

Ingredients

100g soft butter
80 to 100g sugar
1 large tablespoon of honey
1 egg yolk
1 level teaspoon cinnamon
180g self-raising flour

 

Method

STEP 1 Beat the butter and sugar in a bowl until creamy.
STEP 2 Next beat in the honey and the egg yolk.
STEP 3 Add the cinnamon and flour, mix into soft dough.
STEP 4 Take a teaspoon of dough and roll it into a ball. Repeat!
STEP 6 Space out on a greased baking tray.
STEP 7 Cook for 10 minutes at 175C
